The theme of this pen is much the same as the Emperor Pavilion: contemplating landscape from a particular place, a pavilion.
The depiction on this pen is of a night time view.
The waterfall, the trees, the surrounding hillsides and the pavilion are all illuminated by a full moon.
Japanese pastoral scene hand-painted in togidashi, hira and taka maki-e techniques with 24K gold, silver grains and nashiji lacquer by maki-e master Michifumi Kawaguchi. This is a full sized (5 7/8″ capped) pen, with a superior cartridge – converter filling system. It is fitted with a size 20 18kt gold Medium (M) nib imprinted with Mt. Fuji emblem and presented in a paulounia wooden box with outer box, sealed ink bottle (blue), Namiki use and care guide, Pilot Namiki product registration Card, booklet, and artisan autographed paper (Michifumi Kawaguchi).
Unlimited, but discontinued in 2008.
